20cm Male to Male Jumper Wires (10-Pin Ribbon)

The backbone of any breadboard prototyping setup. This is a complete 10-pin ribbon cable of Male to Male (M-M) Dupont jumper wires, measuring 20cm (approx. 8 inches) in length. Because they feature a rigid metal pin on both ends, they are the perfect choice for bridging connections on a solderless breadboard or hooking up an Arduino Uno directly to your circuits.

Why choose these jumper wires?

  • Breadboard Perfect: The 0.64mm square male pins are precisely sized for standard 2.54mm pitch breadboards. They slide in smoothly and grip firmly without damaging the internal spring clips.
  • Tear-Away Organization: The 10 wires are fused into a flat ribbon. You can peel off a single wire, or peel off a block of 4 or 8 wires to keep your data lines (like SPI or I2C) neatly grouped and color-coded.
  • Highly Reusable: The crimped metal pins are housed in durable plastic connectors, allowing you to plug and unplug them hundreds of times during the prototyping phase.

Common Applications

  • Connecting an Arduino Uno/Mega to a breadboard
  • Bridging power rails or components on a single breadboard
  • Converting a female header socket into a male pin
  • Testing and debugging custom PCB sockets

Common Questions

Are these the right wires for an ESP32 or Raspberry Pi?

Usually, no. Most ESP32 and Raspberry Pi boards have Male pins sticking out. To connect to a breadboard from those, you need Female-to-Male (F-M) jumper wires. These M-M wires are specifically ideal for boards with female sockets, like the Arduino Uno.

Can I use these to power my motors?

These are low-current data wires designed for approximately 1A maximum. They are perfect for 5V logic signals and sensors. Do not use them to supply main power from a battery to a high-draw motor driver, as the thin wire will overheat and melt.

Why are my wires bending when I push them into the breadboard?

If a breadboard is brand new, the internal metal clips can be very tight. Make sure you are pushing the pin straight down, directly over the hole. Never force it at an angle, or the metal tip will bend.

How do I peel them without breaking the black connector?

Do not pull them apart by grabbing the hard black plastic tips! Instead, pinch the soft colored wire just below the plastic connector and peel them apart down the middle of the ribbon. This prevents the metal crimp from being pulled out of its housing.
